AQF plastic water tanks

Our blue High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is food-safe and physiologically harmless. These tanks comply with German drinking water standards, including KTW guidelines, KSW recommendations, and DVGW Worksheet W 270, making them ideal for domestic installations, swimming pools, and potable water systems. The containers feature either a 9.5-inch (240 mm) handhole or a 16-inch (DN 400) top opening with a tension lock. This design ensures easy cleaning and seamless installation of submersible pumps or filters. Engineered as atmospheric (non-pressurized) storage tanks, they serve as excellent break tanks for Category 5 backflow prevention systems compliance with DIN EN 1717. AQF tanks up to 265 gallons (1,000 liters) can be easily interconnected using our standard accessories.

Algae Prevention for Process Water Storage

Light penetration is the primary catalyst for biological fouling in water systems. The completely opaque, lightproof walls of our black HDPE tanks block all visible light, effectively halting photosynthesis. By eliminating the light source, these tanks prevent algae growth and microbial proliferation without the continuous need for harsh chemical additives, keeping your process water clean and reducing downstream filtration maintenance costs.
